This new course opened for play in January 1995 It was cut out of a virgin forest composed of pine and oak trees and the terrain is undulating A great deal of care was taken not to disturb the natural uplands water areas and dense forests separating the fairways Furthermore water hazards only come into play on a few holes There are eighty plus large sand bunkers on the fairways and around the large undulating greens Accuracy off the tee is stressed because of the small landing areas in the fairways The fairways are narrow because of the natural vegetation lining both sides One of the outstanding holes on the course is 10 a 541 yard par 5 This hole has a dogleg left fairway with water in play on your second and third shots and sand bunkers on the right side of the green The front nine is harder than the back nine since it is more narrow
